AP Testimonials

My experience in Ms. Hadi's class was not only an educational one, but a fun one as well. Even though we were given a little bit more work than our usual classes, we enjoyed all sorts of group projects and gained insight of what has happened around the world and how it has impacted society today. The skills you will learn in Ms. Hadi's class will benefit you when you enter other AP classes in the future. I assure you, you will not regret taking APWH!

Any new sophomore coming into AP World History should know that it is not an easy class, but it is extremely beneficial and if approached positively, it is also very enjoyable. As a result of this class, I am a better writer, a better speaker, and a more knowledgeable and resilient student. This is due to the many presentations, essays, chapter notes, lectures and timed tests we did as part of the curriculum. So although these activities may be difficult and stressful at times, know that they get easier over time and they prepare you to pass the AP test and greatly improve your skills as a student.

A valuable lesson this class has taught me is how to handle my weaknesses as a student. There will most likely be times when you will not meet the expectations of yourself or the teacher; maybe you get a bad test score or you don't get your homework done on time. The best way to deal with these mistakes is to maturely accept the consequences, then move on, and make sure to be more responsible and do it right next time. At the beginning, I stressed out too much about every mistake I made, because I was used to being a top student in my other classes. An unhealthy level of stressing out only led to me getting further behind, until I eventually learned how to face the fact that I could not be "perfect" and I needed to focus on improving.

Overall, APWH is an exciting challenge and a rewarding experience. It is my favorite class I have taken. It increased my understanding of the world and inspired me to keep learning about it. It introduced me to new ways of thinking about topics of history. Take the class very seriously and always come into the classroom with a positive attitude. That is the best way to learn and appreciate the wonderful education you are receiving through Ms. Hadi's hard work and efforts.
